30000 Island Air

30000 Island Air Ltd. was an airline of Canada.
History
The airline was established in 2000 by Tom Blackwell in Parry Sound,Ontario and started operations with a single Cessna 180 equiped with floats,operating charter,air taxi and cargo flights.
Incidents
On May 7, 2000, a deHavilland Beaver on a test flight after an engine change landed as a precaution on Mill Lake just outside of Parry Sound, Ontario. After examining the oil leak an Aircraft Maintenance engineer advised against flying back to Parry Sound as the source of the leak could not be determined. However, the owner of the company, flew the plane back to parry sound at a low altitude. He was subsequently charged by Transport Canada with reckless and negligent flying and his pilot's licence was suspended for 24 days.
On February 21, 2001, a Cessna 180 owned by 30000 Island air was flown from Orillia, Ontario to Parry Sound, Ontario after the aircraft had been painted by a non-certified Air Maintenance Organization (AMO) and was not inspected by a registered AMO prior to the flight. Because painting is considered maintenance, and flying without having maitanenace approved by an AMO is illegal, 30000 Island Air was fined $500 by Transport Canada.
