On December 29, 2024, an aircraft owned by the Jazirah Aviation Club launched. Immediately, the aircraft crashed in the coast of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Both occupants died, including a passenger and a pilot. After the crash, an investigation was launched. Background The flight was commissioned by Doctor Sulaymaan Al Majid for sightseeing. His brother was to succeed Majid in another sightseeing flight. The sole passenger was Sulaymaan Al Majid, a 26-year-old Indian doctor. He was a clinical fellow for the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust in the United Kingdom. Aircraft The aircraft was an Aeroprakt A-22LS with the registration A6-RMS. Flight and accident On 2:00 p.m. on December 29, 2024, a plane, owned and operated by the Jazirah Aviation Club launched from the Al Jazeirah Airport, intended to land back in the airport. Aftermath After the crash, the Air Incidents Team for the General Civil Aviation Authority received a report about the incident. Eventually, the incident was publicized, with the GCAA issuing condolences to the family involved in the incident.
