2017 Saint-Bruno mid-air collision

On 17 March 2017, a mid-air collision occurred between two private aircraft at Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec, Canada. The two aircraft fell on the site of the Promenades Saint-Bruno mall, one into the parking lot, another onto the mall's roof.

The collision occurred between two Cessna 152 light aircraft each operated by pilot training company Cargair of Longueuil, with call signs FGOI and GPNP. The pilot of airplane FGOI was killed when it landed on the mall's parking lot. GPNP landed on the mall's roof leaving its pilot with serious injuries.
No other persons were aboard the aircraft. An air traffic controller at Montreal Saint-Hubert Longueuil Airport radioed warnings to GPNP to
ATC Saint-Hubert airport to maintain a 1600 foot altitude to avoid other aircraft, but GPNP did not acknowledge the controller.
