The Duluth mid air collision was a collision on 2 November 2013 between two Cessna light aircraft at a height of 12,000 feet near Duluth, Minnesota. The Cessna 182 broke apart in the collision, whilst the pilot of the Cessna 185 managed to land his aircraft. Both aircraft were carrying experienced Skydivers, who along with the pilot of the Cessna 182, all managed to parachute to the ground resulting in zero fatalities and only one hospitalisation. Aircraft The two aircraft involved were both Cessnas registered to Chuck Androsky Sr., founder of Skydive Superior. The aircraft were based at Richard I. Bong Airport and operated by Skydive Superior. Both aircraft were flying in formation at the time of the incident.
