2015 VFL Grand Final

The 2015 VFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football match played between the Williamstown Seagulls and the Box Hill Hawks at the Docklands Stadium on 27 September 2014. This was the 109th grand final attended.
The title was won by Williamstown by a margin of 54 points, marking the club's fourteenth VFL premiership victory, and their first title since 2003, where they also defeated Box Hill.
The match was attended by 12,900 spectators.

Williamstown
This was Williamstown's first Grand Final appearance since losing the 2011 VFL Grand Final against Port Melbourne. At the conclusion of the home and away season, They had finished third on the ladder with 13 wins and 5 losses.
Williamstown beat Sandringham by 7 points in the Qualifying Final at Trevor Barker Oval, which gave them a week off and a place in the Preliminary Final; Williamstown then defeated Essendon Reserves by 12 points in the Preliminary Final to advance to the Grand Final.
Box Hill
Box Hill were entering their third straight Grand Final after defeating Geelong in 2013 and losing to Footscray in 2014. They finished on top for the first time in thire history of Division 1 and had 14 wins and 4 loses in the home and away season.
Box Hill defeated 2014 premiers Footscray by 40 points in the qualifying final at Box Hill City Oval, and then defeated Sandringham by 7 points in the Preliminary Final at North Port Oval to advance to the Grand Final.
