2014 Herat shooting

On Thursday, July 24, 2014, at about 11:30 AM local time, two women, both of whom worked for the Christian International Assistance Mission, were shot dead in the center of the city of Herat, Afghanistan. The women were both Finnish and were traveling in a taxi at the time. The taxi driver, who survived the shooting along with a colleague in the taxi's front seat, has been arrested.
Reactions
*The president of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, condemned the attack, saying that it was "...particularly shocking as the women were in Afghanistan to help local people."
*A spokesman for the Afghanistan Ministry of Interior tweeted that a "massive search and hunt operation underway by Police " to determine who was responsible for the attack.
