18by Vote

18by Vote is an American nonprofit organization that aims to empower underserved youth to spearhead civic engagement efforts within their own communities. Their efforts include increasing voter participation amongst the youngest eligible voters through voter registration, pre-registration, and civic education programming.
About
18by Vote is a nonpartisan organization that aims to help 16, 17, and 18-year-olds understand how to vote, when to vote, and why to vote by creating campaigns to support teenage voting.
Jazmin Kay is the Executive Director of the organization. It is also part of Youth in Gov, a coalition of 100+ groups who are calling on the Biden Administration to bring young people to the table.
Activities
Some of 18by Vote's activities include a 14-week youth-led, non-partisan Civic Engagement Fellowship program that consisted of young people ages 14-20. The organization provides the necessary tools, civics education, and social media skills to have their fellows participate in creating community-driven and youth-led opportunities among rising voters ages 16 to 18 and young voters ages 19 to 24.
18by Vote participated in a youth-led initiative called "Peaches for Progress" to encourage Georgians to vote in the January 5 runoff election. In conjunction with other youth-led organizations such as Blue Future, Future Coalition, March for Our Lives, and Gen Z for Change, 18by Vote hosted textbanks that provided meaningful resources and advice on voter registration, early voting, absentee voting, and in-person voting.
