ZuluPad
ZuluPad is a simple personal Wiki application that acts as a cross between notepad and a wiki, and is amongst a small but growing number of applications known a variably as personal wikis or desktop wikis. ZuluPad describes itself as a personal notepad and a "notebook on crack", and falls GeneRally into the Personal Information Manager category of applications.
While personal wikis come in a number of forms, ZuluPad is a self contained application. This means that the collaborative nature of a wiki that is generally part of web-based wiki systems is curtailed. However, ZuluPad does not need to be configured, and there are no special tags or other coded markup that need to be learned, so ZuluPad is very easy for the end-user to use. Documents can also be uploaded and shared with others via the ZuluPad website. The paid version includes a wide range of features, including rich text support, HTML export, and the ability to import and display images.
ZuluPad is available as both a free open source version, released under the GPL, and a paid closed source version.
