Zindy Laursen

Zindy Laursen is a Danish singer.

She gained fame in 1992 when she participated in Danish Melodi Grand Prix 1992 alongside Jan Parber, and came second. Her next fame came as a member of Cut'n'Move, with the enormous hit "Give It Up", which reached high places on hitlists all over the world.

Next, she tried out acting in the MusicAL, Hair. She returned to the music scene with her latest album, simply called "Zindy", and it was a big success.

In 2001, Zindy returned to television where she alongside Kuku Agami and his band Boogaloo formed ZindyKukuBoogaloo, which was the in house live orchestra for the Danish family entertainment show on TV2, "Venner for Livet". Later that year, the band released a CD, which became a huge success.

Zindy moved to the United States of America in 2002. In 2007 she formed the band J.A.Z. consisting of the Danish rapper Johnson, the Danish singer Alex and Zindy herself.

Zindy has a Danish mother, and an Afroamerican father.
