Zamounde S. Allie Jr.
Zamounde S. Allie, Jr. (born 1965), is an African-American poet from Detroit, Michigan. He is the author of two books of poetry, As the World Burns (1995) and The First Time I: Performance Poetry and More (2004), and also has works featured in the anthology Journey to TimBookTu: An African-American Poetic Odyssey (2002). He co-produced and read poetry on the Sankofa Perspectives radio show from 1997 to 2001 on KABF 88.3 FM in Little Rock, Arkansas. His lectures include the Real Men Read program at Dr. Katie Wright Elementary School in East St. Louis, Illinois and Brown Bag Seminars at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois.
