Zaki Zamani Abd Rashid

Dr. Zaki is a young and prominent social activist from Kedah, Malaysia. He is the co founder of Pasukan Saringan Kesihatan (similar to the doctor without BOUNDARIES organization). In addition to that he is also a member of Kelab Pemuda Ikrar Setia Malaysia, Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung.

Involvement in Politics

Dr. Zaki Zamani is actually reluctant in entering politics, however, his social activism has attracted the ruling party Barisan Nasional to court him into becoming their candidate in the 2013 Malaysian general election. He is contesting in the state constituency of Kuala Kedah. He will go up against another well known medical practitioner from the Pakatan Rakyat Dr. Azman Ismail. Dr Zaki Zamani lost the elections and is now focusing on his social activities, trying to make good name to win next election. Dr Zaki Zamani is treating older people for free and giving them rice and other items through his special program for UMNO.
