Yusuf Azizullah
Yusuf Azizullah is a MBA Professor of Finance & Strategy. He has taught at Johns Hopkins University & also teaches at top ten ranked Robert Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. He has completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School in Corporate Governance, earned a B.S. in Finance from George Mason University. He also graduated with Honors MBA in Management and Masters in Information Systems.
Yusuf is also an executive consultant advising Audit Committee Board members & senior management on Sarbanes Oxley, Risk Mgmt & IFRS Compliance. He has consulted major Fortune companies; Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AOL, Assurant, Thomson Reuters and MCI Inc..
Yusuf’s professional career includes IT SOX Compliance Officer for fifth largest Pharmaceutical AstraZeneca’s $64 Billion global Biologics business MedImmune. In this role, he was responsible for all IT Governance, compliance for five domestic US locations, three international manufacturing and R&D facilities in the Netherlands and United Kingdom. Yusuf led the successful compliance integration with parent AstraZeneca & acquired Cambridge Antibody Technology in 2007. At MedImmune he established an enterprise IT governance model, reduced SOX controls, sponsored full IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) process construction, and directed all IT compliance activities involved in meeting Sarbanes-Oxley, filing under IFRS from US GAAP after parents acquisition, outsourcing to vendors, information security, U.S. FDA compliance and directed other Ethics & ediscovery compliance requirements and was part of the Enterprise Risk Compliance Committee.
