Yorkville No. 4 School
Yorkville No. 4 School is a historic building in Yorkville, Wisconsin in Racine County, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 4, 2011. The school building is located at 17640 Old Yorkville Road.
The original one room schoolhouse constructed on the site in 1845 burned down in May 1885. The school was rebuilt the same year out of cream colored brick with Italianate paired brackets supporting the eaves. It also features arched windows with raised brick window hoods and an ornate oversized bell cupola. The WPA renovated the school in 1938 with indoor plumbing and a space for a furnace, and an enclosed vestibule replaced the front porch. The school closed in 1959 due to consolidation and the Yorkville 4-H club bought the building in 1966, renaming it the Clover Center.
