Yogeshwar Surender Dev Mahadev
Yogeshwar Surender Dev Mahadev also known as Swami Surender Dev Ji Maharaj was a Yoga and Meditation practitioner from India. He was the Forth Guru Gaddi (Forth Successor) and Head Yoga Guru of Shri Yog Abhyas Ashram. According to Guru Parampara (procedure of assigning successor), he took charge of the organization in 1998 on instructions from his spiritual mentor & father Yogeshwar DeviDayal Mahadev.
Early Life
Yogeshwar Surender was born in a yogi family from father Yogeshwar DeviDayal Mahadev and mother Meera Devi on 31st March 1951 in Rohtak, Haryana. Surrounded by Yogic environment, Yogeshwar Surender was knowledgeable AbOUT Yoga and Astrology from childhood. His father DeviDayal was the third successor and Head Yoga Guru of Shri Yog Abhyas Ashram.
Later, he married to Shakti Devi and had two children naming Swami Amit Dev and Savita Sahni. Swami Amit Dev is the current successor of the Guru Gaddi, and he handles the organization as well.
Contribution in Yoga
Yogeshwar Surrender was declared as forth Guru in 1998, and he established the first Yogeshwar Devi Dayal Temple in Delhi the same year. At present, there are more than 75 temples around the world. Yogeshwar conducted more than 500 yoga and astrology camps during his period as Head of the organization.
Yogeshwar Surender died on 18th October, 2016 at the age of 65. According to his pupils, his exact words before dying were "It's time to leave".
