Yogeshwar Ramlal Bhagwan
Yogeshwar Ramlal Bhagwan (also known as Mahaprabhu Ji; 1888–1938) was an Indian Yoga and Meditation guru. He was the First Guru Gaddi (first successor) and founder of Shri Yog Abhyas Ashram in Amritsar, India. He established the organization in 1916 to spread the knowledge of Yoga with his practices. The organization is currently managed by Swami Amit Dev (fifth successor).
Mahaprabhu Ji contributed as the Guru to the organization from 1916 to 1938. Then, according to Guru Parampara (process of assigning successor), the organization was handled by Yogeshwar Mulakh Raj Bhagwan.
Childhood
Yogeshwar Ramlal Bhagwan was born to Pandit Shri Gandaram Ji (father) and Bhagwanti Ji (mother) in Amritsar, Punjab. Ramlal Bhagwan was born on 9th day of Chaitra, during the lunar fortnight in the Vikram year of 1945, according to Hindu calendar (year 1888).
Mahaprabhu Ji's first divine event occurred when he was three years old. During meditation, an old lady had a realization of her previous life's spiritual guide in human form. According to her vision, her spiritual guide was a child playing with other children. When the lady met Mahaprabhu Ji, she bowed to him and asked him to relieve her from the bondage of life, as she saw Mahaprabhu Ji as her spiritual guide. Mahaprabhu Ji blessed her, and the lady left her human body and got Moksha.
At the age of five, Ramlal Bhagwan was sent to school, but his interests were spiritual. Seeing this, his father directed him to read the Horoscope, and his predictions were very accurate. A saint predicted that Mahaprabhu Ji would possess all divine characteristics, and achieve the advanced state of Yoga. Maharishi Kaka Bhusundi predicted this a thousand years ago on the palm-leaf manuscript. The script is available in Telugu, and a photocopy of the leaf is also available.
Marriage
When Mahaprabhu Ji was in search of Spiritual Guru, his family decided that he was to marry a lady named Bal Kaur. Despite being in a marriage, Mahaprabhu Ji (Yogeshwar Ramlal) chose the life of a saint, and his wife agreed to it. Bal Kaur accepted his terms and served him.
Search of Spiritual Guide
During his search for a spiritual guide, Satguru Maha Prabhu Vishwa Nath Ji came from Nepal, and took Ramlal Ji to attend sermons. Mahaprabhu Ji stayed in Nepal for some time and returned back with the complete knowledge of Yoga to teach aspirants. Mahaprabhu Ji traveled to many parts of the world to spread the knowledge and wisdom of Yoga.
