Yin zhiqun, an artist, whose pseudonym is Xinyang, is born in July, 1957 in Fushun County, Sichuan Province. He graduated from Zhemei Oriental Correspondence Education College of Art in 1983. Presently serving in Fushun Light Industry Company, in Sichuan Province. He is enrolled in Fine Artists' Association of China; and in Sichuan Branch, Chinese Artists Association; he is also enrolled in Zigong Artists Association and a member of Sichuan Branch, China Institution Modern Pen Calligraphy. He is a member of INA (An Association of international competition of Arts located in New York, U.S. A.) (Awarded a certificate with Mr. Edward Brown) and a member of Worldwide Artists’ federation of Canada. Since the year 1988, his works has been exhibited in Hong Kong, U.S.A. and Canada. In 1994, he hold Solo exhibitions in Zigong and Shenzhen, and was highly regarded by the professors and experts who visited those exhibitions. In 1999, his print workwon silver prize in 20 Century International Artists Achievements Expos, which was organized by International Honorary Committeeman of (WEC) European Community International Honorary Committee (GC). He participated in the First Worldwide Chinese Arts Competition in 2000 with the same painting and won bronze prize. He was enrolled in the who’s who of ‘Famous Artist of Modern China’ and Fushun County Annals and so forth. In 2004, his calligraphy work won first prize twice in China Modern Arts Exhibition. In 2005, he participated in series of competitions and exhibitions which was held in the name of the 60th Anniversary of Victory in Anti-Japan War, and won gold prize thrice and bronze prize once. His won Special Gold Prize. He also won a Prize for Lifetime Achievement for himself. His calligraphy works won First Prize of the Group of Youth Candidates in the First Calligraphy Competition of ‘Harmony’. One of his works named ‘Fushun Confucius Temple’ was collected by China National Museum.
