Yehiel Sharabi

Rabbi Chacham Yehiel Sharabi (, Yemen 1798- Jerusalem, Israel 1870), was an eminent Shami Yemenite Jewish Merchant, Orientalist, Kabbalist, Talmudist and master of Halacha as well as Mishnah, who eventually settled in Tzfat. He was a great friend of Jacob Saphir and helped to develop Chassidut in the 19th century. He had his own yeshiva called Beit El-Sharabi.
