Yasser Elshantaf
Yasser Elshantaf (, ; born 1983) is a Palestinian Businessman.
Elshantaf was born in Al-Shati camp in Gaza Strip. His parents became refugees after they fled their homes in Jaffa (currently Jaffa, also known as Yafo) during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. He studied Computer Information Systems, Political Science & Crisis Management.
In 2009, he traveled to Germany after winning Konrad-Zuse-Program as entrepreneur, presented by the German Foreign Office, focuses on research and development in information technology field.
He’s currently the chief executive officer, CEO of Safadi Group in Berlin, which operate in multi-fields (Petroleum, construction, shipping, tourism services and consulting services). Elshantaf is the vice chairman of PhoenixBird Information Technology and Systems; also he proposed many consulting services for an international organizations like World Bank, European Union, and the American Friends Services.
Elshantaf participated in the 12th German-Arab Business Forum, which was held in cooperation between, Arab-German Chamber of Commerce, and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he presented a lecture under the title ICT the future for Palestine, also he has many activates in supporting the community and the Palestinian economy.
Elshantaf is the co-founder of the German-Palestinian Business Council DPW e.V.; a member of the International Non-Profit Business Association for CEOs and Entrepreneurs, a member of the Junior Chamber International, a member of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD), Vice Chair of NIJMAH* a joint adventure, and a member of the Palestinian Information Technology Association.
