XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe
The XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe is a gundam type mobile suit in the fictional anime and manga series Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe
Gundam Deathscythe was built in a colony at L2 by Professor G, who had gotten help from an underground Scavenger group. This Gundam specialises in close-combat and stealth missions. Although it is equipped with standard vulcan guns and machine cannons, its most deadly weapon was the beam scythe, which was easily able to slice through almost any solid material. Another strong weapon was the buster shield on its left arm, which included a beam blade and could be fired at a target for ranged attacks.
Because Gundam Deathscythe specialises in stealth missions, it includes the unique hyper jammer ECM (electronic countermeasure) suite. Thanks to this system, Deathscythe is invisible to most sensors, thus allowing the pilot to approach the enemy without being seen.
Gundam Deathscythe was later captured by OZ after returning to space due to it not being properly equipped for space combat (one of the Deathscythe's flaws was that it could not easily maneuver in zero gravity conditions) and was destroyed. but shortly afterwards was rebuilt by the five scientists that created the Gundams into the form of the much deadlier XXXG-01D2 Gundam Deathscythe Hell.
History
After landing on Earth the Deathscythe was used by it's pilot Duo Maxwell to attack a mobile suit factory. Afterwards when the Alliance troops were trying to salvage the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam from the sea Duo attacked them and after using the beam scythe to deactive the Wing Gundam's self-destruct device Duo returned to land while he left the Deathscythe on auto-pilot to bring the Wing Gundam up to the surface. However the Wing Gundam pilot Heero Yuy who was intent on destroying the Wing Gundam fired some missles he stole from an Earth Alliance base causing both the Deathscythe and Wing Gundam to sink to the bottom of the sea.
After rescuing Heero who had been taken to an Alliance hospital, Duo salvaged both of their gundams and took them back to his base only for Heero to strip parts from the Deathscythe to repair his Gundam. The Deathscythe was later fixed by Duo's friend Howard who was also a member of the Sweeper Group. Afterwards Duo used the Deathscythe for the battle at the New Edwards base and after assisting in preventing the destruction of New Edwards base, the Deathscythe was used to attack the OZ Transport Unit in Siberia until Duo was forced to retreat due to Lady Unes threat of missle attack on the colonies. The Deathscythe was then taken to the Maganac's base in the desert but after OZ found out AbOUT the location of the base, Duo and Quatre Raberba Winner were forced to leave and go into hiding for the next few months.
When the time came for The Two pilots to take their Gundams and return to space, they attacked the Singapore space port in order to make it into space and despite dealing with the emotional trouble of the Colony delegates denouncing the Gundam pilots, Duo suceeded in getting the Deathscythe into a transport unit. However due to the Deathscythes inability at fighting in space it was badly damaged by a OZ-12SMS Taurus unit and captured and later it was destroyed in an OZ public broadcasting as part of their campain to win the support of the colony citizens and both it and the remains of the Gundam Shenlong were then placed in storage and Gundam scientists secretly used OZ's resources to upgrade both of the Gundams. As a result the Deathscythe became the XXXG-01D2 Gundam Deathscythe Hell.
