Xicon
XICON is an industrial metal band from Switzerland.
History
Xicon was formed in 2005 after the split of The Nightshade, their former band. In October 2006, the band released its debut album Theogony in Switzerland through Aurora Music, and in 2007 through Thundering Records in the rest of Europe.
Music style
As stated on Gryphonmetal, on the debut album influences vary from Clawfinger to the Kovenant, leaving a forceful scent of rhythmic riffs, effective lead passages - a bit downtuned but very harmonic and prickling- strong bass lines, thick fat calibrated drumming, syncopated melodic chords. Vocals in clear/semi clear keep a personal dirty rawness; sometimes they express anger, sometimes the tiredness of this plagued world.
