Wrapping Machines

A Wrapping Machine or Wrapper is a specialized robot application that wraps a finished pallet with plastic film.

The SILKWORM family of stretch wrapping solutions are based around proven Fanuc technology and equipped with a sophisticated wrapping head developed by BEMA. A touch screen computer allows for pallet dimensions to be pre-set, enabling the solution to wrap pallets of different heights and sizes in the same sequence.

To ensure product stability, SILKWORM has a device attached to the wrapping head which facilitates the application of a film “rope” during the wrapping process. This rope can be applied either to the upper or middle part of the pallet. To further guarantee a quality end product, the wrapping system has its own rotating table which is synchronised with a driven pressing device. So that the stability of the pallet is not compromised, the rope is applied in areas where clamp gripping does not occur to avoid moving the product or breaking the film.
