Worlds Apart (Australian band)
Worlds Apart is a five-piece melodic hardcore band from the New South Wales Central Coast in Australia.
History
It started when a couple of friends that worked together began jamming together and decided to start a band in the early 2000s. The original Members of the band were Owen Mathieson (drums), Matt Higley (guitar), James McKenzie (vocals) and Adrian Trethewy (bass).
Over the years there has been many member changes with the current members being AJ on vocals, Tristan Stein on bass, Owen Mathieson on drums, Matt Higley on guitar and Jason Parrish on guitar.
All the hardwork playing gigs with national and international bands has paid off for the boys because they have signed with Indie label, Washed Up Records. The band had persisted before that with a "do it yourself" attitude and had spent years rehearsing in Owen Mathieson's mum's spare room before securing a rehearsal space at a nearby suburb.
Influences
Carry On, In My Eyes, Champion, Comeback Kid, With Honor, Chain Of Strength, Gorilla Biscuits, [...] The Dream, Bane, Go It Alone, Between Us, Bad Religion, No Fun At All, SnapCase.
CD
The title of Worlds Apart's new EP is Trials and Tribulations. It is a seven track Ep and is indicative of the life and times associated with growing up. They are not typical of the mosh style cause that will be the focus of the next ep 'Trials and Tribulations II: Moshage (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Prom(mmies)'.

Over the years Worlds Apart have toured with some major national and international bands. In early 2007 they toured down to Melbourne and played with American band Bane.
