WorldatWork

WorldatWork is an international association for human resources professionals and business leaders focused on attracting, motivating, and retaining employees. WorldatWork works to promote the role of human resources as a profession, and networking, certification in strategic compensation, benefits, work-life, performance and recognition, and total rewards. Founded in 1955 and known for most of its history as the American Compensation Association, WorldatWork currently has approximately 30,000 members in 75 countries.

The headquarters is in Scottsdale, Arizona. WorldatWork also has an office in Washington, D.C.

WorldatWork's organization includes the following affiliates: WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals, Alliance for Work-Life ProgresS, and The Telework Advisory Group of WorldatWork.

Membership

There are no prerequisites to membership at WorldatWork. Initiatory membership fees total $340 for practitioners and consultants, $125 for academic faculty, and $55 for students.

Certifications

WorldatWork certifications include Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), and Work-Life Certified Professional (WLCP)--all which are earned by passing pertinent exams.

In the human resources field, total rewards refer to the monetary and non-monetary returns provided to employees in exchange for their time, talents, efforts and results. Total rewards, often referred to as total compensation, involve the deliberate integration of five key elements that effectively attract, motivate and retain the talent required to achieve desired business results.
