The World Citi Colleges Basketball Team is a Juniors basketball team formed in the summer of 2004, since then, they have won two championships in four championship appearances in three different leagues.

The First Batch of Vikings

The team was led by 5'11 shooting guard Jonathan "Panoy" Panunciar and was handled by Rizaldy "Cocoy" Reyes. Things started a bit shaky for the team in Cusa, getting eliminated in the first round and finishing with a 2-4 record.

However, they would show their true form in the NMMAA (Northern Metro Manila Athletic Association)after dropping their first game against Immaculate Mary College in a controversial game, they demolished everything on their way, including blowout games against SPCC, St.James and Notre Dame of Greater Manila (The defending champions). They won the tournament by beating Notre Dame of Greater Manila in the championship by 9 points (74-65) giving WCC their first championship ever.

Second batch

Still being coached by Coy Reyes, The World Citi Colleges Vikings ended with a third place finish in CUSA, with a record of 7-5, losing to eventual champions PCCr in the semis. In the MNCAA, they finished a disappointing second place after losing against De la salle-Zobel in the Championship game.

Third Batch

With Coach Cocoy Reyes leaving, St.Claire Coach June Golosinda took over the team. This time led by Mark Labitag, Edward Sumile, Carlo Gomez, Christian Jacinto and Patrick Campania they finished 2nd in CUSA, even without the services of Star shooting guard Mark Labitag, dropping two games against ten time defending champions PCCr.

However, like every good team does, they would go on and bounce back in the Quezon City Basketball league, dominating the tournament with a 7-0 record in the elims, a total domination against Lourdes of Antipolo in the Semis and a convincing win against defending champions Claret in the finals.

Disbandment and Controversies

Despite performing well in CUSA and QCBL during the 2006-2007 school year, there are many rumors AbOUT the disbandment of the team, and that rumor came true right after the QCBL season.

With Edward Sumile, Christian Jacinto and Emmanuel Ng graduating, the team would still somehow form a decent team with the remaining players like Carlo Gomez, JC Foronda and Patrick Campania, however, problems with the school and academics forced them to leave the team.

Current Status

The team is now Coached by Byron Vidal and is currently on hiatus in CUSA. They'll join the MNCAA tournament in November.
