The Wiltshire Premier Shield 2008-09 was the 67th staging of the Wiltshire Football Association knockout competition, the Wiltshire Premier Shield.
The competition begins in the Semi-Final stages with the counties four biggest teams taking part. This season it was Swindon Town, Salisbury City, Swindon Supermarine and Chippenham Town.
Swindon Town vs. Chippenham Town (S-F 1st Leg)
It was agreed between the two clubs that both fixtures would take place at Hardenhuish Park the home Chippenham Town.
With Swindon Town struggling in League One and managerless after the sacking of Maurice Malpas, a stronger team than usually expected was fielded for this tie.
Despite the promise of a stronger league team the attendance was low because the match was held on the same night as England's fixture with Germany at Olympiastadion.
