Willy Cabeza

Guillermo J. (Willy) Cabeza became the youngest airline president at age 31 in U.S. aviation history when he was named to the top position at Arrow Air, Inc., the Miami-based all-cargo carrier that was acquired by Fine Air Services Corp.

After joining Arrow Air in 1992, Willy became an airline dispatcher, instructor, flight engineer, first officer, manager and chief operating officer with the airline, with responsibilities for all company operations. He became president in 1998.

Mr. Cabeza is owner and managing partner of Reliance Aviation Miami, Reliance Aviation Ft. Lauderdale and Reliance Aviation Management. Reliance Aviation is one of the largest corporate jet providers in South Florida, which provide maintenance repair, overhaul and fixed base operator services to fractional and corporate jet operators. Together with a group of investors, Mr. Cabeza recently purchased Arrow Air, Inc. and is the executive chairman and president.

He is a graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology with Bachelor’s degrees in Aviation Management and Flight Technology. Mr. Cabeza holds several FAA licenses from aircraft dispatchers to CFI.
