William Consuegra
William Consuegra was recently selected to National Association of Industrial and Office Properties NAIOP Leadership Discovery Program, one of 20 young professionals from around the country chosen to this programNAIOP DLP. He was also recently nominated by Governor Bill Richardson to The New Mexico Commission on Public Broadcasting.
The son of a Colombian immigrants (Cecilia and Julio Consuegra), Consuegra was born in SaddleBrook, New Jersey. His family left New Jersey for Texas when he was twelve, living briefly in Brownsville before moving to Pharr. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999 from the Trinity University, then worked for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) from 1999 to 2002, mostly in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He went on to enroll at University of New Mexico School of Law and is set to graduate in 2008.
He is currently a third year law student at the University of New Mexico School of Law and an intern with the Land Development Office at Forest City Mesa del Sol. He is also a nominee for the Term Member Program with the Council on Foreign Relations (nominated by Governor Bill Richardson and former Army Secretary Louis Caldera). In recent years he has also been a reviewer for the David L. Boren/Fulbright Scholarship Fund Committee (Houston, TX), a Program Review Board member with the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast, and a Funds Allocation Board member with the United Way of South Texas (San Antonio).
