William Christian (New Mexican)

William Stuart Christian (born March 6, 1951). He is a member of the Democratic Party.

Early life, education, and career

Mr. Christian was raised in West Lafayette, Indiana, Madison, Wisconsin, and San Ildefonso Pueblo, New Mexico. He graduated from Purdue University where he received his Bachelors and Masters. In 1983, he entered J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he edited the law school newsletter. After graduation, he practice law in Provo, Utah and then moved back to New Mexico to work for Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico as their Operations Manager. Later he worked as Judge, Grant Writer and Contracts Administrator for San Ildefonso Pueblo. He also worked for Los Alamos National Laboratory. Mr. Christian denies ever working for the CIA or the NSA.

Mr. Christian met his wife in July 1988 at a picnic. After a rocky start they were married in October of 1988 at Pleasant Grove, Utah and one year later in 1989 at the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mrs. Christian is an avid Republican. They have 5 dogs. Both are current temple recommend holders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Presidential Race

Mr. Christian joined the 2004 Presidential Race in July 2003 but Mr. Christian withdrew from the Presidential Race in September 2003 after receiving information that George W. Bush would win the 2004 U.S. Presidential Election.

Mr. Christian is currently running as a Democrat for the 2008 U.S. presidential election.

Authorship

Mr. Christian wrote "The Great Pueblo Revolt of 1986" and co-authored "The Cassandra Project."
