Wilddesign is an international design agency headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Germany and Shanghai, China that provides product and brand identity design services to corporate clients. Founded by Markus Wild in the year 1990, Wilddesign now supports clients from various locations in Asia and Europe. Wilddesign is also one of Europe’s leading medical design service providers, with a continuous presence on world leading medical fair MEDICA/Compamed since more than 15 years.

History

Wilddesign founded by Markus Wild in 1990, derived its name from Markus’s last name Wild. Markus Wild, an industrial designer by profession, believes in simple, creative and functional designs.

Wilddesign was first established in Northrhine Westphalia, Germany in 1990 and later relocated to Science Park, Gelsenkirchen, Germany in the year 1995. The specialization in the design of medical products and devices including [...] delivery devices began in the year 1996, nearly 6 years after the company was founded.

Shanghai Wilddesign Co. Ltd., the first German industrial design company in China was started in the year 2006. Wilddesign Hong Kong Ltd. was also started in the year 2006. The newest spin-off of Wilddesign was established in Gummersbach, Germany in the year 2012.

Locations

Wilddesign currently has a total of 7 locations and approximately 30 employees. The Director, CEO Markus Wild leads the team in the Ruhr area of Germany. The Shanghai office was launched together with Gerhard Seizer, the initial CEO of the Shanghai office. Currently Helena Albrechtsson, a Swedish industrial engineer is running the operations in Shanghai.
