Wendy Kaufman (psychologist)
Wendy Kaufman (b. 1962 in Westchester, New York, U.S.) is an industrial psychologist best known for her achievements in the field of work/life balance.
After many years as a training consultant for a variety of work/life providers, and earning a Masters Degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, Wendy launched the corporate training company, Balancing Life’s Issues Inc. in 2001. In that time Wendy has worked with companies such as IBM, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Donna Karan International.
As founder and President of the national training company, Wendy oversees a targeted network of trainers who bring a wide range of work/life balance programs to corporations, not-for-profit organizations, employee assistance programs and educational institutions.
In 2005, Wendy was a finalist for the 2005 Enterprising Women—Women of the Year Award. She has been featured in numerous national publications, including The New York Times, The New York Post, Crain's New York Business , MSNBC The Journal News, Entrepreneur’s Start-Up, HR Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, and SHRM Magazine, as well as CBS News Radio 880 with Joe Connelly. Her columns have appeared on the World Wit website and she was a contributing writer in Conversations on Health & Wellness with John Gray, and Dr. Earl Mindell (Insight 2004).
In 2008 Balancing Life's Issues was a Stevie Awards finalist for Best Overall Company of the Year.
Wendy teaches executive leadership and communication classes for the American Management Association.
