Weiss Ritter

PTX-007-03C Weiss Ritter

Weiss Ritter is a fictional giant robot from the Japanese video game series Super Robot Wars. It has appeared in the Super Robot Wars Compact 2 Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and the game that compiles these three, Super Robot Wars Impact. It also has appeared in The Two Original Generation games.

Description

The Weiss Ritter is colored almost completely white with blue trim in certain areas. Despite its heavily-ornate appearance, its armor has only half the strength of the original Gespenst, and it is extremely light in comparison. This allows for the unit to use its speed to compensate for the lack of defense in the new armor.

Technical and historical

The ATX Project was a new project set up to build new Personal Troopers that would prove to be the next generation high-spec weapons. A long range combat unit was to be created from the PTX-007-3 Gespenst Mark II as its base. This new unit would utilize a Telsa Drive to fly. It excels at speed/maneuverability and therefore sacrifices armor. This unit carried an array of weapons with its main one being the Oxtongue Launcher (named after a type of spear). The codename for this unit would be the PTX-007-03C "Weiss Ritter" (German for "White Knight", although it's a literal translation and grammatically incorrect).

The Weiss Ritter was created and designed by Dr. Marion Radom, a former Mao Industries scientist, but instead works under the Tesla Liecht Labs. The unit would later prove to be too expensive to mass produce and only one unit would be completed. This single unit would fall into the hands of ATX Team member, Excellen Browning. She would take this as her personal unit in the events of Original Generation and would work alongside her boyfriend Kyosuke Nanbu and his Alt Eisen. Together, they can perform their signature combination attack, the Rampage Ghost.

In Original Generation 2, Excellen and her machine would be captured by the Einst and upgraded by them while possessing her (since most of her body are made of Einst) for their own use. This machine would be known as the "Rein Weiss Ritter". At the end of the game however, the Weiss Ritter turned back to normal after the defeat of the Einst.
