History

WebpageFX, Inc. (formerly Craig Web Design) was founded in Harrisburg in 1997 as a freelance business by William Craig, president of the company. In 2006, WebpageFX, Inc was formed as a Pennsylvania S Corporation and Karie Shearer joined as co-founder and COO.

In 2006, WebpageFX hired their first two employees and relocated from Harrisburg, PA to the Murata Business Center in Carlisle, PA.

Working in conjunction with Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, WebpageFX won a Silver Award for Corporate Promotion/Identity from the Horizon Interactive Awards in 2008.

In 2009, WebpageFX was recognized as “Fab 5” company by The Capital Region Economic Development Corporation and a finalist for Design Company of the Year at the Central Penn Business Journal Best of the Web Awards. The company also expanded its services to include dedicated link building, conversion analysis, and email marketing. WebpageFX was also named the 14th best organic optimization firm in the world.

2010 was a banner year for WebpageFX, Inc. The firm was ranked as the 15th best company in the world for search engine optimization, named Emerging Business of the Year by the Central Penn Business Journal and President William Craig was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation. The company also expanded by adding over 10 new employees and moved its headquarters to the renovated lower level in Murata Business Center. The company posted revenues of over $1,000,000 in 2010.

In 2011, WebpageFX, Inc. ranked #38 on Central Penn Business Journal's list of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in PA. The Central Penn Business Journal also named President William Craig as one of the top area entrepreneurs under 40. The company became a Google Adwords Certified Partner. President William Craig was also featured on WITF-TV.

WebpageFX, Inc. was nominated for a PA TechQuest award in 2012.
