Watrajaoros School

Watrajaoros School is located in Wat Rajaoros temple. At the front border to Sanamchai canal or Dan canal. Watrajaoros school start teaching on May 17, 1916. At present, Watrajaoros school has classrooom starting from Grade 6 to Grade 12 (Matthayom 1 to Matthayom 6). The space of Watrajaoros school is 34,648 square meters.

School history

Watrajaoros school was formerly a local school. It is located at Watrajaoros temple. In front of Watrajaoros temple, it is next to Sanamchai canal. At the beginning, this school known as Prasitwittayakom after that it transferred into public school belonging to the Ministry of the Education by the Secondary authorities the Ministry of the Education (Ammat-ekluang-pirunpittayapan) and the abbot of Watrajaoros school named Prathummu Tesajan both considered that this area did not has secondary school. So, they offered to transfer Prasitwittayakom school to be under the Ministry of the Education named Watrajaoros on March 19, 1915. Watrajaoros school start teaching on May 17, 1916 by the first director(Khun-jong-jit-fuek). At the beginning, this school was coeducation, and it opened only Grade 1 and Grade 2. During the 13 years of Khun-jong-jit-fuek as the director, he extremely expanded the education system which start teaching the student from Grade 1 to Grade 12.

  • On 1931, The school cancelled all primary students, and it left only the secondary students.
  • On 1942, The school migrated all women primary students to Sra-tri-wat-absorn-sawarn school and changed the learning system to only boy students.
  • On 1984, It allowed secondary girl students to study in this school again after has been the school for boys for 42 years.
  • On 1989, The school started lecturing coeducation model.
  • On 2003, The Japanese development center opened by the Department of General Education.
  • On 2004, The Chinese development center opened by the Office of the Basic Education Commission.
  • On 2005, The school opened the Mini English Program called English Intensive Course(EIC).
  • On 2006, The school set up the reading curriculum through love reading books that resulted from the love reading rally operation.
  • On 2008, The school set up the volunteer for public benefit curriculum through goodness books that resulted from the activity development center.
  • On 2009, The school opened gifted room for students who were good at science and math.
  • On 2010, The school changed the curriculum to the World - Class Standard School.
  • On 2011, The school was the host of the handball general education competition in the province and region level.
  • On 2012, The school set up the Independent Study(IS) curriculum for secondary students and it encourages to volunteer for public benefit curriculum to students through studying real places.
  • On 2013, The school changed its English name (Watratorot to Watrajaoros). They also created the identities and the 8 values of Watrajaoros students. The school has operated the new change of the management system to be Thailand Quality Award(TQA).
  • On 2014, The school follow the concept of the prime minister. It operated lecturing by adding citizenship course to every students grade.
  • On 2017, The school opened the special Chinese language class or CIC for primary students.

  • Flower of school Pikul flower. It came from the word that called students as The gentlemen of the King and The lady of Sri Pikul.
