WatchBlog is a multi-writer weblog divided into 3 political columns, each with its own blog: Democrats & Liberals, Third Party & Independents, and Republicans & Conservatives. The column managers are: Democrats & Liberals - American Pundit, Third Party & Independents - Rhinehold, and Republicans & Conservatives - Mike Tate.

WatchBlog, founded in 2003, was one of the first to use the multiple blog front page format and it remains one of the best managed and most civilized political debate sites on the web. Public participation is welcome provided WatchBlog policies are observed. Several authors work to ensure that new articles are posted in each column nearly every day, ranging from current events from the view of the writer in the specified column to multi-part examinations on issues that span the entirety of the political atmosphere.

A rich search feature allows for visitors to search through the archives of the individual blogs as well as list the the chronology of the blogs. A listing for each writer's articles is also accessible with information AbOUT the writer themselves.

From the WatchBlog website: "Let's face it, politics is confusing. Sometimes it's difficult to know who to believe, who to listen to and who to support. We're here to help. Posting on a regular basis are editors representing each major party. Stay informed."

Rules For Comment Participation

Visitors are welcome and encouraged to leave comments concerning the articles that are posted to Watchblog. However, those who participate are expected to follow a code of conduct. This helps provide a civil environment for those with serious desires of political debate to engage others with the same interests about various political topics as new articles are posted. Participation is not required, however, and anyone is free to read and follow the comments as the debate about the articles develop among the commenting participants.
