Warren Masilamony
Warren Masilamony is a Singaporean television producer and director. He graduated from Wilfred Laurier University in Ontario, Canada before moving to Australia in 2010. He is best known for creating Australia's first cake decoration reality TV series, Roxanne's Cake House. This series was first aired on West Television, Channel 44 in Western Australia and was a huge success in the territory.
Beginning in 2013, he began work on The Buzz, an Australian live television program based around social media and celebrity news. He directed 35 episodes of the show, which featured former Channel 7 Australia's weathergirl Candice Barnes. The final episode was a one-hour Christmas special that aired on 20 December 2013 on West TV.
Awards and nominations
Masilamony was awarded the Best Live TV Production at the 26th West Australian Screen Awards on 14 July 2014 for directing The Buzz television show.
In the same year, he also won the Antenna Award for Outstanding Factual, Current Affairs or Interview Program for producing "Undercurrent".
In July 2013, Masilamony won Best Live TV Production for directing Friday Night Live at the West Australian Screen Awards 2013. He also picked up two other nominations for directing The Buzz and Beyond Gardens Live in the same category.
