Warm Mouse
The Heated Mouse computer mouse is a new type of computer mouse peripheral that combines miniature embedded infrared heating technology with the traditional human computer input device, the computer mouse. The heated mouse is used by people in cold climates or those people who wish to keep their hands warm while using the computer. Often the user of the warm mouse who suffers from Raynaud's phenomenon, which is a disorder that causes chronic cold hands and feet, can have their symptoms relieved through the use of a heated computer mouse. The heated computer mouse is a relatively new device that many elderly people with chronic cold hands, or arthritis, are not aware of yet, but can be very useful to temporarily relieve temperature-related hand ailments such as "cold fingers and poor circulation, arthritis, fibromyalgia, Raynaud's phenomenon, and even repetitive strain injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tendinitis" so that it is easier to cope with their conditions while they use the computer. The warm mouse has also been known to be used by those using the computer in severely cold climates, such as climates below zero during the winter season, or system administrators operating within a cold temperature-controlled environment.
The heated mouse (or) warm mouse gets its power for the embedded infrared heaters via the Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface, which allows access to the computer's power supply. The internal heating technology of the mouse itself is both safe and warming to the touch. The internal heater of the device uses thermal infrared electromagnetic waves sent at a frequency which heats those surfaces that absorb them, thus creating a persistent lower power consumption soothing warm effect to the touch of the human hand.
