Walter "King Tut" Johnson
Walter "King Tut" Johnson was a major figure in the suspected Black Mafia street gang operating out of New York City. He is perhaps best known for having a former business relationship with Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, as well as a beef with Tupac Shakur. Shakur implicated Johnson as having directly ordered his 1994 shooting outside a NYC record studio. The shooting is made mention in the song "Against All Odds" which is on The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. Johnson has also been a suspect in the [...] of Shakur in 1996, but professes his innocence.
Walter "King tut" Johnson was known for his routine stick-ups to current and former "Gangsta Rappers" on the streets of Brooklyn; ironically the same neighborhood that Mike Tyson grew up in. Johnson is also knowm for his lengthy Rap sheet and his ability to escape conviction on many charges including the Brooklyn, NY Barber Shop shooting which injured 3 NYPD Police Officers, paralyzing one. Johnson was also implicated in the hold up of a NYC transit-bus in which four known associates robbed all patrons on the bus. Also, during his youth Johnson allegedly robbed his mother's church congrigation during prayer services.
"King Tut" Johnson is also mentioned in William Oldham's book called "The Brotherhoods"; depicting the arrests of former NYPD Detectives Stephen Carcappa and Louis Eppolito.
Walter "King Tut" Johnson was arrested by NYPD Major Case Squad Detectives in October of 1996 and charged in Federal court on several weapons and robbery counts. Under the "3 Strikes" provision of 1994, Walter "King Tut" Johnson was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
