Golf Mk6 Variant (2009–2013)
A facelifted variant (MK6) model was introduced in 2009, despite carrying the front fascia and interior styling from the new Golf, the underpinnings are based on its fifth generation predecessor. There was a "Golf Variant Concept R" showcar unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
Golf Mk7 Variant (2013–)
The fifth EDition of the Golf Estate was released in August 2013, and was based on the platform of the Volkswagen Golf Mk7.
Unlike its predecessor, the Mark 6, which was really just a facelift of the Mark 5, the Mark 7 was a new design.
