Introduction

The first concrete expression of the school took its dimensions in 1976.When in Madurai ICSE syllabus was new and none of the schools opted for the challenge,It was one of the pioneers to take up the ICSE syllabus and they have proved our might by establishing the school name in Tamilnadu.It began with 27 students in The Primary block in 1976. It grew to secondary level and it was upgraded to Higher Secondary status in June 1996. It has opted for Tamilnadu State Board Higher Secondary education in Plus Two level for the bright career prospects of our students through college education. Now the school has a strength of AbOUT 700 students.The school has nice buildings with a spacious playground.Well experienced teachers add credit to the students perfomance.

Management

The Administrative responsibility of the school is rested with the board of members elected by the Virudhunagar Hindu Nadar Uravinmurai at Madurai. The Secretary is in charge of the school administration. He is Ably guided by his team of office bearers consisting of the President, Vice-president, Joint Secretary and Treasurer.

Facilities

The Unique Feature of the school is, class strength is limited to only 20 students up to X standard. Student Teacher Ratio is maintained @ 10 : 1. Classrooms are illuminated, ventilated and spacious having all the necessary facilities.

The school has a well stocked library with books on wide range of subjects and a separate reading room with all the latest magazines and dailies. Separate laboratories are available for Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Geography for advancement in sciences. Also, individual rooms for English and Tamil are available for the development of the language of the children.

To provide latest in Information Technology, the school has a separate computer hall for primary level and higher secondary level. Also a Multimedia Room cum Mini Conference Hall has been established for training through audio/visual communications.

Academic

The Principal is in charge of the school academics. Montessori trained teachers impart creative knowledge in the student from the primary level itself. From the middle level, the ICSE curriculum will make the children sharp and strong in mind. At Higher Secondary level the Tamilnadu State Board syllabus ensures that most of our students enter esteemed professional courses.

Some senior teachers are given additional duties, as academic supervisors, so that the best is brought out from the teachers.

Parents teachers meetings are held once in a term. Fraternal meetings are conducted twice a year with management, teachers and parents. Both parents should compulsorily attend all these meetings.
