Vision Quest Media is an independent French production company that develops and produces youth & family programs for television, cinema and new media.

History

Thierry Rivard, Founder and Chairman of Vision Quest Media (VQM), previously General Manager of Kayenta Production for two decades, created VQM in December 2007. VQM is dedicated to developing original youth and family programs for television, cinema and new media.

VQM is associated with Kayenta Production, a minority shareholder in the new company.

  • MR ZOMBIE: 104x1’ 2D digital animated comedy for all ages, created by Curtis Jobling (BOB THE BUILDER) – three pilot episodes produced

In each episode, Mr Zombie discovers something new with which to interact – a fairly common, everyday object. But the situation rapidly deteriorates until something unexpected happens. MR ZOMBIE just can’t seem to rest in peace, but he’ll rest in pieces! No blood, no gore, just loads of slapstick humour and a little bit of looking at life from a different, playful perspective.

  • STACY & FRIENDS (working title): 26 x ½ hour live action tween sitcom:

Adapted from the British book series by Allan Frewin Jones, STACY & FRIENDS humorously explores the line between reality and the inner workings of the mind of imaginative tween, Stacy Allen. Narrated by Stacy, each sibling rivalry-filled episode features the off-the-wall misadventures of Stacy and her friends as they navigate the swirling sea of choices and circumstances facing today’s youth. Developed with Disney France, co-produced with Shaftesbury.

  • IT’S MY NATURE (working title): weekly 6’ nature magazine series for 6 to 11 and family

Hosted by dynamic and charismatic Julien Perrot, creator and editor in chief of the Salamandre (Swiss published children and adult-targeted paper magazines, which explore nature), IT’S MY NATURE brings the audience closer to nature, a nature which is within our reach. It explores the wondrous natural phenomena available all around – in the woods, or in a garden, or even on a balcony in the city.

  • PAPER CUTS: 52 x 7’ animated family comedy, based on paper toy designs by Yann Crozet.
  • DYNAMIA: an introduction to Yoga for 5 + (52x2’30)

Dynamia is a series of physical postures from the art of Yoga. The practice not only helps children to develop body control, it also contributes to strengthening anatomical, physiological and emotional development, as well as boosting energy levels. So while it helps to establish the overall well-being, both physical and mental, of growing (and fully grown) human beings… it’s also fun!
