Vincent Triest
Vincent Triest ( ) is a Dutch-Albanian journalist. He serves as the foreign correspondent for the Albanian media and occasionally working for the Dutch media in the Netherlands. Triest is member of the Association of Professional Journalists of Albania and is the only accredited correspondent for the Albanian media in the Netherlands. He is referred as an Albania-expert by the Dutch magazine Elsevier.
Albanian media
Triest is working for the Albanian Rilindja Demokratike, a mayor national newspaper in Albania where he regularly publishes articles. He also works occasionally for the News 24 media group (News 24, Gazeta Shqiptare and Balkanweb) and ABC News.
Twitter incident
On 2 December 2012 an incident happened between Prime Minister Edi Rama and Triest. After the incident the social media use of Rama was contested, because he is reported to insult on Twitter after his IDeaS where rejected by Triest. The insults of Rama where published on the national media of Albania.
Personal life
Triest is a grandchild of the Albanian painter Sadik Kaceli, People's Artist of Albania and the Honour Citizen of Tirana.
