Vinay Virmani

Vinay Virmani (born Jan. 24, 1985) is a Canadian actor best known for his performance in Breakaway (dubbed into Hindi as Speedy Singhs), a Canadian hockey based film directed by Robert Lieberman and produced by Akshay Kumar and Paul Gross.

Early life

Virmani was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He is of Indian origin. He is the son of Ajay Virmani, an Indo-Canadian businessman and Indian film producer. He received his earlier education from the Second City School in Toronto and graduated from York University. He has also studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.

Career

Virmani's first role was in a 2008 Canadian short film. In 2011 he co-wrote and starred in Breakaway (dubbed into Hindi as "Speedy Singhs"). It featured Hollywood actress Camilla Belle.
