Vikas Amte
Dr. Vikas Amte (born October 1947) is a doctor and social worker from Maharashtra, India. He is the first doctor in the area of Anandwan who served to the best of his capacity as doctor over there.

He is the elder son of noted social worker and Magsaysay Award winner, Baba Amte (1914 – 2008), he runs the organisation 'Maharogi Sewa Samiti', and is the administrator of Anandwan, the community set up by Baba Amte in 1948 for leprosy patients on the ouskirts of Warora in Chandrapur district in Maharashtra. He also runs a hospital along with his wife Dr. Bharati Amte at Anadawan and coordinates operations between Anandwan and satellite projects.
Awards
In January 2012, he was given the 'Chandrapur Bhushan award' by the Babasaheb Deshmukh Memorial Society and Snehankit.
Personal life
Vikas Amte married to Bharati Amte in the year 1976. The only condition put during the marriage was the bride should be a doctor from any cast and would be willing to serve at Anandwan. Vikas Amte and his wife Bharati Amte run a hospital at Anandwan and coordinate operations between Anandwan and satellite projects.
