Vendio Services is a third party ecommerce solution provider that helps online sellers manager their business across multiple online channels. The company was founded in 1999 and is currently based in San Mateo, CA with offices in Romania and India.
History
Rodrigo Sales and Mark Dodd founded Vendio Services, Inc. in 1999. For the first four years the company operated under the name AuctionWatch and focused its products around marketing and managing services to help online sellers improve the efficiency of online auctions. In 2003 the company changed it's name to Vendio, which is derived from the Latin root for the term "to sell" - the name change marked Vendio's expansion into providing a multi-channel selling solution. Two years later Vendio received the eBay Star Developer Award for its Sales Manager Inventory Edition, which was a highly automated sales management service designed to meet the needs of high volume inventory-based sellers. In 2006 Vendio acquired Andale, a provider of listing managment and research services for sellers on eBay.
The company continued to focus on multi-channel selling and in 2009 released the Vendio Platform, which supported merchants and their businesses on eBay, Amazon.com, and a free online store. In 2008 and 2009 Vendio was included in the . Also in 2009, the company's eBay market research service, Vendio Research, was named an eBay Star Developer runner up for the Most Innovative Application.
