Vasileios Anagnostopoulos
Vasileios Anagnostopoulos (born February 26, 1980) is a Greek child actor, director & producer for Greek television. He is best known for his lead role in Christos Martinos: Lost In Athens (1987), as well as popular Greek comedy sitcom You, Me & the in-laws (1987-1994).
Biography
Early life
Anagnostopoulos was born in Kozani, the son of Claire, an American-Greek patent lawyer, and Anthony Anagnostopoulos, a Greek doctor. He grew up in the protective care of his parents schooling him at home. Vasileios came to love the writings of William Shakespeare, William Blake and Charlotte Bronte, often performing in front of friends & family.
Family life
Shortly after the age of 10 both his parents split up. Anthony moved to Chicago, America. where he now has a doctors practice. He is now happily married with 3 children. Claire had remained in Greece and later married an army career man but often told AbOUT his covert operations & was subsequently ejected from the army. Currently residing in Athens, Greece with her own patent law firm.
Acting
Vasileios got his big break in 1987 after a talent scout spotted him out shopping with his parents. It was his angelic face that drew him in & was given an audition for a popular & highly profitable toothpaste advert. This inclusion led to Vasileios being highly sought after and provided the perfect base to launch his movie debut in 'Christos Martinos: Lost In Athens (1987)'. Reportedly earning only £1200 (UK equivalent) for his role however later that year his luck changed when he signed a multi year agreement to 'You, Me & the in-laws'.
