It is home to more than 65 lawyers spread 4 offices (Tallinn, Tartu, Riga and Vilnius) in 3 different countries and employs a total of around 65 attorneys and lawyers. History

The law firm Vilgerts was established in 2008 by Gints Vilgerts to focus on providing top quality legal services to local and international corporations (The firm was soon joined by two new partners, Debora Pavila and Julija Jerneva from Sorainen and so the firm gained competition law specialists).

The business law firms Smaliukas, Juodka, Beniusis & Partners (establ. 2007) of Lithuania (the Managing Partner Robert Juodka), Paul Varul of Estonia and Vilgerts in Latvia have merged their operations as of December 7, 2009, and continue their operation under the name Varul Vilgerts Smaliukas, the newly-established company informed.
