Vans Invitational
The Vans Invitational is The Title name for the Dew Action Sports Tour while in Portland, Oregon. The main event takes place at the Rose Quarter, which consists of the Rose Garden Arena and the Memorial Coliseum. It is the 3rd of 5 sites in the tour and takes place in mid-August. In 2005, the event hosted popular rock bands Switchfoot; Cold; and Smile Empty Soul, and Crossfade performed in 2006. The Musical performance lineup for 2007 is currently unknown, however according to their Myspace, Sum41 is set to perform there on Friday, August 17th.
The event's primary sponsor is Vans. It is scheduled to return this year from August 16-19.
