Founded in 1984, Vanguard Cleaning Systems is a commercial cleaning franchising company that provides service to over 7,000 commercial cleaning accounts through an organization of 49 regional offices and 1,600 franchisees.

Background

Among its wide range of services, Vanguard offers general office cleaning, carpet cleaning, hard surface floor care, window washing, and green cleaning.1 Employing the most advanced solutions, Vanguard uses microfiber cloths and mops to remove a higher percentage of dirt and bacteria. Cleaning with microfiber products both minimizes exposure to chemicals and minimizes the possibility of cross contamination. Additionally, Vanguard's use of high filtration vacuum cleaners removes dust, pollen, and allergens from commercial facilities better than traditional vacuums. High filtration vacuums are especially beneficial because they not only contain more power than upright vacuums but also improve indoor air quality by ensuring that captured dirt does not escape and leak back into the facility.2

Vanguard provides these services for a variety of industries, including, but not limited to, general offices, multi-tenant facilities, health care centers, schools, churches, fitness clubs, and daycare centers.3

Franchise Opportunities

Vanguard offers two franchise opportunities: a Master Franchise program and a Janitorial Franchise program.4

The Master Franchise program offers the experienced business person the opportunity to own, develop and manage a Vanguard territory. Primary responsibilities for Master Franchisees include recruiting, securing commercial cleaning contracts, and providing office support for Janitorial Franchisees. 5

The Janitorial Franchise program is designed for individuals who wish to operate a commercial cleaning business. A Janitorial Franchise owner can take advantage of the training, support, and accounts that Vanguard offers. With a low initial investment, owners can ultimately develop a significant janitorial business. 6
