U'ujio

U'ujio (a.k.a. Ujio) (ooh-jee-oh) was a 19th century Japanese samurai famous for [...] over 100 warriors in hand-to-hand combat with weapons ranging from the katana (samurai sword), bow and arrow, bokken, and his own hands. He was featured in the movie "The Last Samurai", starring Tom Cruise, and although the movie appears to capture his traits, his death was not accurate. The real U'ujio was shot in the side of the head by Commodore Matthew Perry, after Ujio killed 5 of his bodyguards after invading the American Embassy in Kyoto. He was notorious for his ability to endure pain, and there are accounts of him getting stabbed several times in battle but continuing as if though he felt nothing. According to Japanese scriptures, Ujio once removed his own liver after it was damaged in mid-battle, and went on fighting until the end of the battle. He then washed it and sewed it back together.
