Utsyabhumi

Utsyabhumi (উৎসভূমি) is the first weekly magazine published from Rajshahi, one of the divisional city of Bangladesh in Bengali language. It started its journey from December 2006. Shiblee Noman, one of the renound journalist of Northern Region of the country, was the founder chief editor of the magazine. Anisuzzaman Ujjal, Young and prominent journalist of Rajshahi was the founder Editor of Utsyabhumi. This magazine has a young and energetic team. Within only one year of publication, the magazine focused on some ecceptional items of the community. Now, Ahsan Habib Apu is the editor of the weekly.

Starting

Utsyabhumi was the dream-chield of a community organization SPCD. From the very begaining, It wants to develop the skills of new jouralists of the city. Early in 2005, Meer Hassan Abdullah, the Director of SPCD and Shiblee Noman, Chief of Creative Cell of SPCD decieded to publish a complete magazine with different taste. In the whole year of 2006, they collected 20 most prominent young journalist from Masscommunication department of Rajshahi University. Anisuzzaman Ujjal, reporter of Daily Amardesh, a widely circulated news-daily of Dhaka agreed to join here as Editor. From December 2006 it started the journey to discover a new horizon of jouralism. On 2008, SPCD executive director Hassan Abdullah made a deal with another group of journalist to publish Utsyabhumi a a broadsheet news magazine. Thus Shiblee Noman and Anisuzzaman Uzzal resigned with all the team members. Now Ahsan Habib Apu joined here as editor.
